Measuring tips

Please take a look at the diagrams below for measuring.

 

tip #1 - many flooring stores will quote by the square foot not by the square yard.  Be sure that you take that into account when ordering flooring.

9 square feet = 1 square yard
 

 

tip #2 - when measuring a room for the amount of flooring be sure to measure at the center of each doorway.   Be sure that you order enough.
